USDCoin（USDC） is a type of stablecoin fully supported by the US dollar and developed by the Centre Consortium. Centre can issue and exchange USDC without additional fees and it is licensed as a money transfer institution in the US as well as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in Europe. The project can always convert USDC to USD at a 1:1 ratio. Collateral funds are deposited in a separate, third-party monitored and audited bank account.
