Hotcoin's Full Position and Position-by-Position models for perpetual contracts are further categorized into two types, which are the Combined Position and Split Position models.

What is Combined Position and Split Position?

Combined position mode refers to the merger of all long positions and all short positions of the same currency opened by the user, which is applicable to USDT combined positions and coin localized combined positions.

Full position consolidation: orders placed in the same direction (long or short) and on the same trading pair will be consolidated into one position. The maximum number of long and short positions in the same trading pair under the combined position mode is two. Leverage can only be adjusted in the order area. All positions share the same margin.

Position by Position: Orders of the same direction (open long or short) and of the same trading pair will be combined into one position. The maximum number of long and short positions in the same trading pair in the combined mode is two. Leverage can only be adjusted uniformly. Margins for all positions are independent of each other.

Split Position Mode means that when a user opens positions in the same currency and in the same direction, the positions will not be merged, but will exist independently of each other. This applies to USDT split positions and coin localized split positions.

Full Position Split: Multiple positions can be opened in the same direction (long or short) and under the same trading pair, and leverage can be set individually for each position. New orders will not be merged with existing positions. All positions share the same margin.

Split Position by Position: Multiple positions can be opened in the same direction (long or short) and under the same trading pair, and leverage can be set individually for each position. New orders opened in split-position mode will not be merged with existing positions.

The combined and split modes of a perpetual contract position can only be selected at the time of opening the position, and the position cannot be converted between the two modes after the position is opened, and perpetual contracts can be held in combined and split positions at the same time.
