I. Project Overview

Seeker (SKR) is the second-generation Web3-native smartphone launched by Solana Labs’ mobile initiative, Solana Mobile. Alongside the Seeker device, the SKR token functions as both an ecosystem incentive and a mechanism for unlocking platform features.
The device focuses on a mobile-first, on-chain experience and is positioned as “Solana in your pocket,” aiming to reduce the cost and complexity of blockchain interactions to a mobile-native level. The SKR token has a total supply of 1 billion, with approximately 15% currently circulating, and is used to incentivize device activation, node bandwidth sharing, and app-store revenue distribution.

II. Project Introduction

The Seeker project aims to build an open mobile platform that addresses key limitations of centralized app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play, including restricted developer freedom, limited access to crypto applications, and high platform fees.
By leveraging the TEEPin network architecture, which combines Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) with DePIN-style decentralized physical infrastructure, the project enables decentralized governance, permissionless app distribution, and direct developer-to-user interaction. The Seeker device serves as the primary access point to the ecosystem and issues a non-transferable Genesis Token that unlocks exclusive on-chain rewards and experiences.
The ecosystem emphasizes community ownership and governance participation while supporting mobile-native use cases, including payments, DeFi, AI, DePIN, NFTs, and gaming. As an infrastructure-level initiative aligned with Solana’s broader mobile strategy, Seeker has recorded over 150,000 pre-orders across more than 50 countries.

III. Product & Technology

Seeker is an Android-based smartphone with a built-in Seed Vault hardware wallet for secure storage of crypto assets. The device ships with Solana dApp Store 2.0, supporting more than 265 dApps across payments, DeFi, AI, DePIN, NFTs, and gaming, and enables access to crypto-native applications without reliance on traditional app stores.
From a technical perspective, the project adopts the TEEPin architecture to enhance device security and decentralization. It introduces a Guardians mechanism, comparable to validator nodes, to detect malicious applications and protect ecosystem integrity. Hardware capabilities include Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6, real-time payments, sensor integration, and location services.
The Seeker ID feature functions as a digital passport, providing users with verifiable proof of authenticity within the ecosystem. As of early 2026, the platform has processed approximately 9 million transactions with a cumulative trading volume of USD 2.6 billion. The infrastructure also extends beyond Seeker devices through developer tools that support broader Android compatibility.

IV. Economic Model

The SKR token follows a linear inflation model, starting at 10% in year one and decaying to a 2% terminal rate by year six, designed to incentivize early participation and long-term engagement. The total supply is 1 billion SKR, allocated as follows:
  • 30% community airdrops (including 1.8 billion SKR in Season 1, distributed to over 100,000 users and developers based on device interaction, dApp usage, and on-chain activity)
  • 25% growth and partnerships
  • 15% Solana Mobile team (12-month cliff, 36-month linear unlock)
  • 10% liquidity launch and listings (unlocked at listing)
  • 10% community treasury (unlocked at listing, governed by DAO)
  • 10% Solana Labs (12-month cliff, 36-month linear unlock)
The initial circulating supply is approximately 567.5 million SKR. Token utilities include staking to Guardians (with an initial APY of approximately 26–28% and decay), governance participation, ecosystem rewards, and app curation. Season 1 airdrop claims began on January 21, 2026, via the publishing portal.

V. Team & Investors

Core Team

  • Anatoly Yakovenko – Solana Labs CEO, responsible for overall strategy
  • Emre Şimşek – Solana Mobile GM, former Samsung Electronics director, leading hardware planning
  • Nick Ishaq – Mobile Stack technical lead, former Google Android core framework engineer

Investment & Partners

No standalone funding round has been disclosed. Development budgets are allocated by the Solana Labs board. Manufacturing is handled by Compal, with Qualcomm as the chip platform provider. Payment integrations include Visa and the Solana Pay Foundation.

Ecosystem Nodes

The initial cohort of 20 validator nodes is operated by the Solana Foundation and Coinbase Cloud. Community participation is expected to open later, requiring a 1 million SKR stake and a completed security audit.

VI. Roadmap

The project roadmap prioritizes ecosystem expansion and decentralization:
  • Q3 2025: Finalize tokenomics design, community engagement campaigns, and pre-launch outreach
  • Q4 2025: Prepare token distribution, introduce early staking mechanisms, and onboard developers
  • Q1 2026: Official SKR token launch (January 21, 2026), enable initial staking and Guardians participation, activate governance, launch Seeker Season 2, and host a hackathon
  • Next steps: Expand hardware partnerships to support additional Android devices, continue developer grant programs, roll out further seasonal airdrops and governance proposals, and progress toward a fully decentralized mobile stack

VII. Risks & Opportunities

Key risks include a relatively high initial token float (approximately 200 million tokens unlocked at listing), potential selling pressure from airdrops, and short-term price volatility driven by first-year inflation. The project’s success also depends on hardware adoption and user engagement; underperformance relative to expectations, as seen with earlier mobile Web3 initiatives, could limit ecosystem growth. Additionally, the mobile Web3 sector remains niche and faces regulatory and competitive pressures, while the absence of external capital may constrain expansion speed.
Opportunities stem from deep integration with the Solana ecosystem, which provides distribution and composability advantages. Governance-driven incentives and reward mechanisms may attract developers and encourage dApp innovation. The Guardians and TEEPin architecture strengthen security and trust, while ongoing airdrops and staking rewards support long-term participation. Strong early hardware demand, with over 150,000 pre-orders, indicates initial market traction.

VIII. Conclusion

The Solana Mobile Seeker initiative aims to establish a decentralized mobile ecosystem built on purpose-designed hardware and infrastructure. By leveraging the SKR token as a coordination layer for incentives and governance, the project extends Web3 functionality to a mobile-native environment. While adoption, market volatility, and execution risks remain, early developer engagement and user interest suggest Seeker is a meaningful experimental direction within the broader mobile blockchain landscape.
