What Is a Universal Address?

A Universal Address allows multiple coins on the same withdrawal network to share a single withdrawal address. Once enabled, you do not need to add separate addresses for each coin. As long as the withdrawal network matches, the same address can be reused.

Why Can Addresses Be Shared?

Blockchain addresses are created by networks, not by individual coins.

If an address belongs to a specific network (for example, BSC), any coin issued on that network can be sent to the same address.

Example (BSC Network):

  • USDT (BSC)
  • BNB (BSC)
  • Other BSC-based tokens

As long as the selected withdrawal network matches, the same address can be used.

What Is the Difference Between Enabling and Not Enabling It?

Without Universal Address Enabled

  • The address is saved only for the selected coin
  • Other coins on the same network must be added separately

With Universal Address Enabled

  • The address is saved by the network
  • Other supported coins on the same network can use them directly
  • Reduces duplicate entries and lowers the risk of selecting the wrong address

Does Universal Address Mean Cross-Platform Compatibility?

No.

A universal address works only within the same exchange and withdrawal network. It does not allow addresses to be shared across different platforms.

Each exchange or wallet generates its own deposit addresses. Even if the network is the same, addresses issued by different platforms belong to different accounts and cannot be reused.

In short:

  • Same exchange + same network → Reusable
  • Different exchanges → Not reusable

How to Enable Universal Address?

When adding a withdrawal address, select “Save as Universal Address.”

Once enabled, the address will be stored by the network and automatically available for withdrawals on that network.

Important Notes

  • The withdrawal network must match the receiving platform’s network.
  • A universal address allows reuse within the same network, only — it does not apply across platforms.
  • Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Please double-check the address and network before submitting.
  • If a Memo/Tag is required, follow the on-page instructions. Failure to do so may result in funds not being credited.
  • Consider enabling Withdrawal Address Whitelist or New Address Withdrawal Lock to enhance account security (subject to on-page prompts).

Reminder:

If the receiving platform indicates that the address does not support deposits or requires a Memo/Tag, follow the receiving platform’s instructions.

Universal Address vs. Verification-Free Address

  • Universal Address: Allows multiple coins on the same network to share one address, improving efficiency.
  • Verification-Free Address: Reduces certain verification steps for trusted addresses (subject to on-page prompts) and is part of your account security settings.

Both features can be enabled simultaneously. It is recommended to apply them only to long-term, trusted addresses.

When Should You Enable It?

If your receiving address supports multiple tokens on the same network, enabling Universal Address can simplify address management and reduce the risk of selecting the wrong address.

ℹ️ Summary

A universal address is saved by the network and can be reused for coins on the same network.

It does not apply across different platforms.
