Dear users:

In recent months, the cryptocurrency market has experienced an upward trend. However, during this time, some unscrupulous individuals have exploited this trend by creating fake websites, impersonating staff members, and gradually leading victims into traps, resulting in financial losses. Recently, there have been numerous online complaints regarding fake Hotcoin incidents. Based on this, this article aims to educate readers on several common forms of digital asset scams and provide safety tips to mitigate risks and prevent fraud. Users are urged to remain vigilant and protect their funds.
Common Digital Scam Formats and Countermeasures
False Activities
Scammers create fake Hotcoin official Telegram, WeChat, and QQ groups, impersonating official staff members. They spread false announcements/activities, such as "start xx coin airdrop," guiding users to log in to unknown websites or participate in fake financial activities. This leads to the theft of user information, such as wallet private keys, Hotcoin accounts, etc., and results in the loss of user assets.
Investment Inducement Fraud
Scammers utilize online dating methods or boast about high profits by posting trades, portraying themselves as investment experts to gain trust. They then guide users to invest in specified platforms, subsequently preventing users from withdrawing/depositing funds.
Impersonation of Official Personnel for Fraud
Scammers falsely claim to be associated with Hotcoin officials, adding users to groups via social platforms like WeChat, QQ, Telegram, etc. They induce users to invest through methods such as "brick-and-mortar arbitrage," "high rebates," "portfolio operations," "coin storage interest," etc. Ultimately, they transfer or steal assets by guiding users to trade on specific platforms.

Phishing Website Scams
Scammers impersonate platform staff, creating phishing websites and publishing false information. Through SMS, emails, etc., they falsely claim "account upgrades," "migration," "refund," "trigger risk control," "risk of funds," "become an international user," etc., inducing users to click on phishing website links or scan QR codes. Once account passwords and other information are leaked, the digital assets in users' accounts will be quickly stolen. Besides phishing websites, scammers also develop fake apps containing the keyword "Hotcoin," enticing users to install and download them. If users log in, recharge, and transact on these fake clients, their assets will be swindled by criminals.
Impersonation of Official or Judicial Institutions
Scammers may impersonate government officials, law enforcement officers, or representatives of other official institutions through phone calls, SMS, or social media. They claim that the victim is involved in illegal activities and immediate action is required.
Fabrication of Rights Protection and Falsification of Facts
Some unscrupulous individuals defame Hotcoin by fabricating rights protection information and falsifying facts. They induce users to pay legal consultation fees. Users should remain vigilant to prevent false information and avoid financial losses.

Safety Tips
Keep Personal Account Security Information Confidential
Do not disclose your wallet password, private key, mnemonic phrase, or Keystore file to anyone.
Official personnel will not ask for user security information. Do not disclose account passwords, SMS/Google/email verification codes, etc., to anyone. Avoid sharing account asset security information through "share screen" or "take screenshots to send." Remain vigilant at all times.

Be Cautious in Identifying Login Platforms

Avoid using search engines to find website addresses when logging in to prevent accessing fake sites. Manually enter the website address instead. Do not enter your Hotcoin platform account password and security information on unofficial websites or apps to prevent phishing or network trojans.
Exercise caution with unidentified links and QR codes from unknown sources, as some phishing websites may steal assets upon clicking. Avoid clicking or scanning them easily.

Do Not Trust Various "Official" Information Easily

For Hotcoin platform activities and business changes, refer to official announcements on the website. Be vigilant in distinguishing and preventing fraud.
Hotcoin will not require you to perform buy/sell/withdrawal/transfer operations or conduct investment-related promotions. Claims of cooperation with Hotcoin or asset transfer guidance in the name of Hotcoin officials are suspected of fraud.
If you encounter calls/emails/websites/WeChat claiming to be "Hotcoin official," verify them on the Hotcoin official channel verification page (https://www.hotcoin.com/support/official-channel) or contact official customer service to avoid deception.
If deceived, promptly cease losses, save chat records with scammers and transaction records on the fraud platform, and contact the police immediately.

Once again, we remind all users to remain vigilant. Do not log in to unofficial websites, click on unknown links, or scan unknown QR codes. Exercise caution with official phone/email/activities and avoid transferring funds to suspicious addresses to prevent leakage of account passwords and other information, which may lead to asset losses. If you encounter websites, phone calls, emails, etc., claiming to be official Hotcoin, please verify them through official channels or contact customer service promptly to verify their authenticity.
