What are U standard and currency standard?

USDT-based contract: a contract product that uses USDT as the quotation and settlement (USDT is a stable currency linked to the value of the US dollar). For example, the income and margin of the BTCUSDT contract product are settled in USDT. The biggest advantage of USDT settlement contracts is that traders can simply calculate returns in legal currency, making U-based contracts more intuitive.

Coin-based contract: a contract product that uses the token itself as the quotation and settlement. For example, the income and margin of the BTCUSD contract product are settled in BTC. The biggest advantage of currency-based contracts is that traders can improve the efficiency of capital use and trade contract products while holding cryptocurrency.

What usage scenarios are suitable for U-standard and currency-based?

U-backed contract: When a trader holds no other crypto assets except USDT and does not want to purchase any spot assets, he or she can consider using USDT-backed contract. USDT can be used in nearly a hundred contract trading pairs provided by the Hotcoin contract market.

Coin-margined contracts: Traders who want to hold specific cryptocurrencies for a long time are recommended to use coin-margined contracts because it provides position rebates and can be hedged and traded in the contract market without the need to convert to stablecoins. When a bull market comes, investors are more likely to continue to hold their crypto assets. Since coin-margined contracts are settled in coins, any profits translate directly into a long-term position in the cryptocurrency, which is an excellent way for traders to accumulate the cryptocurrencies they see in the long term.
