Axie's rise and fall was not simply a change in token prices. It was a systemic shift caused when user motivation tilted away from game experience and toward expected earnings. In a rising market, high rewards attracted new players and raised demand for entry assets. When the market weakened, rewards, player growth, and NFT prices could fall together, creating a stronger economic feedback loop than in a conventional game.
