I. Project Overview

Genius Terminal, also known as Genius Trading, is a unified non-custodial on-chain trading terminal developed by Shuttle Labs, a Web3 infrastructure company headquartered in New York. The platform integrates spot trading, perpetual contracts, yield generation, and cross-chain execution into a single interface, supporting over 10 blockchains and connecting liquidity sources from multiple decentralized exchanges through cross-chain routing technology. The project completed its Token Generation Event (TGE) on April 13, 2026, officially launching the GENIUS token.

II. Project Introduction

A core pain point has long existed in the DeFi space: fragmented liquidity and poor user experience, hindering Web3's progression toward mainstream adoption at scale. Every time users interact with DeFi tools, they often need to repeatedly operate across different protocols and networks, including signing transactions, using cross-chain bridges, and managing gas fees—tedious steps that create friction.
Genius Terminal's core vision is to become the ultimate on-chain trading frontend: making protocols function as APIs, cross-chain bridges as pipelines, and vaults as configuration items. Users only need to interact with one terminal, while everything else is abstracted, optimized, and silently processed through backend logic. The project positions itself as a "privacy-focused, all-in-one on-chain trading terminal," committed to providing professional traders with a decentralized trading environment that rivals centralized exchange experiences.
Genius Terminal is an execution-layer infrastructure rather than a standalone decentralized exchange. Its software interface connects to multiple decentralized liquidity sources, including spot and perpetual markets, allowing users to execute complex trading strategies from a single dashboard.

III. Product and Technology

The platform's core functionality spans multiple dimensions. In multi-chain trading, Genius Terminal allows users to access and trade tokens across supported chains and interact with major spot and perpetual DEXs using a single account balance, without manually bridging or switching wallets.
In privacy technology, the platform's core privacy feature is "Ghost Wallets," part of the Ghost Actions functionality suite. Through custom Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet technology, it allows users to split large transactions across hundreds of wallets to enhance on-chain privacy.
In wallet and account security, Genius uses Turnkey key management technology to provide users with non-custodial wallets, supporting passkey authentication methods. The platform itself cannot access users' private keys.
In data and analytics, the platform provides real-time price charts, detailed trading history, and security information, including buy/sell tax rates, minting authority status, and freeze authority on-chain data. Users can also filter assets by market cap, liquidity, 24-hour trading volume, token age, and transaction count metrics.
Additionally, the platform features a native stablecoin usdGG (also called gUSD), a fully-backed USD stablecoin supported by Genius Protocol's cross-chain swap fees. Users can deposit USDC and hold usdGG to passively earn yield without lending or taking on additional risk exposure.
In security audits, the platform has completed multiple rounds of security audits from Halborn, Cantina, HackenProof, and Borg Research.

IV. Token Economics

The total supply of GENIUS tokens is 1 billion, with an initial circulating supply of approximately 335.4 million at TGE.
The GENIUS token serves three primary functions. First, GENIUS holders can significantly reduce trading fees on over 11 supported blockchains, while unlocking advanced referral tiers, with the highest tier receiving up to 45% of invitees' trading fees, distributed directly in USDC. Second, GENIUS holders receive priority access to Ghost Orders, along with access to pre-launch token markets, real-time new listing alerts, and institutional-grade analytical tools including real-time funding rates and liquidity data. Third, GENIUS grants the community voting rights on the protocol's long-term roadmap, including influencing major infrastructure upgrades, determining priorities for new blockchain integrations, and overseeing strategic allocation of foundation development funds.
The token airdrop mechanism offers three options: (1) Early claim within 7 days after TGE, subject to a 70% burn penalty and receiving only 30% of tokens; (2) No action, with tokens locked for one year before full unlocking; (3) Refund option, where users can choose to burn their entire token allocation within 48 hours after TGE in exchange for a refund of their net fees paid on the platform. This mechanism aims to encourage long-term holding by compressing initial circulating supply.

V. Team and Investors

Genius was co-founded by three co-founders: Chief Executive Officer Armaan Kalsi, Chief Operating Officer Ryan Myher, and Chief Technology Officer Brihu Sundararaman. The team began developing the platform while studying at Yale University. The team initially built data and analytics products before pivoting to trading infrastructure. The project is developed by Shuttle Labs, headquartered in New York.
On the investment side, in January 2026, YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) announced an investment of tens of millions of dollars in Genius Trading. Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) subsequently joined the project as an advisor, following which trading volume saw a sharp increase.

VI. Roadmap

TGE was officially completed on April 13, 2026, marking the platform's entry into a new development phase. Season 2 of the Genius Points rewards program officially launched on April 10, 2026, and will run until August 10, 2026, focusing on incentivizing active trading across over 11 supported blockchains, with particular emphasis on Ghost Order usage.
Current development priorities focus on integrating more liquidity sources and expanding yield functionality for the native stablecoin usdGG, to further solidify the platform's market positioning as a professional on-chain trading operating system. On the partnership front, Aster DEX has become a strategic partner in the Genius ecosystem and was the first to launch perpetual contract trading pairs for the GENIUS token.

VII. Risks and Opportunities

The primary opportunity lies in the vast market space for on-chain trading infrastructure. The DeFi fragmentation problem has long plagued users, and the unified trading terminal segment where Genius Terminal operates remains in early stages. The platform has strong backing from YZi Labs, as well as CZ, an advisor with extensive industry influence, which helps establish advantages in user trust and ecosystem resources. The Ghost Order privacy feature is also at the core of differentiated competition, potentially attracting large traders sensitive to on-chain trading transparency.
Key risks remain. First, the complete token economic model remains in dynamic adjustment post-TGE, with information transparency needing improvement. Second, competition in the DeFi space is fierce, with numerous participants in the aggregated trading terminal segment, creating significant user retention pressure. Additionally, the platform's GENIUS token liquidity pool remains relatively limited, and high-leverage perpetual contract products could amplify volatility significantly in both directions once large capital inflows occur. On the regulatory front, evolving regulatory frameworks for DeFi derivatives across jurisdictions also pose potential policy risks.

VIII. Summary

Genius Terminal is a professional on-chain trading terminal with clear positioning and distinctive technical features. Addressing the real pain point of DeFi liquidity fragmentation, the project has built a comprehensive trading gateway integrating spot, perpetual contracts, cross-chain bridges, and yield management, with Ghost Order privacy technology and unified cross-chain execution as core differentiators. With heavyweight financing from YZi Labs and CZ's advisory role, the project has gained significant advantages in resource backing and market attention, with over $15 billion in cumulative trading volume pre-TGE validating the product's early appeal.
Overall, Genius Terminal is a DeFi infrastructure project with solid competitive positioning in both product design and market strategy. However, the long-term stability of its token economic model, sustained growth in user scale, and compliance pathway in a complex regulatory environment remain key variables for observing its development potential.
